About us

Apr / 03 / 2011

Devil in the Details helps artists to extend their name or brand, by producing and rolling out their products. From T-shirts and stickers to one-offs and numbered specials. Each project has its own launch party. Devil in the Details is not a gallery: art is not static.

The artist often works alone. Devil in the Details goes in search, together with the artist, of products to develop, produce and market. The artist is inspired to think about which products complement his art and vice versa. To create something new, something he wouldn’t have created before. That becomes affordable, but exceptional and original art. Mass production is not what Devil in the Details is about.

From 1997 until 2004, Nicholas was the lead singer for the band Oil, which released multiple records and toured Europe and the United States extensively. Among other recognitions, the band received an Essent Award in 2004 and played Lowlands and Noorderslag in that same year. He also ran the label Jetblack records. Nicholas is now a member of the band The Cut/Up and is co-owner of the recording studio Amsterdam Recording Company.
